Gary Arnold: The Passing of a Good Friend

Greetings friends,
This past Sunday, a dear friend of mine was lost in an accident. Gary Arnold was a kind and wonderful ma
n whose love for photography was apparent to all he met. Through his gift, to me personally, of many photographs, his memory will never be lost. I am grateful to have known Gary and to be blessed enough to have experienced his love for auto racing.
My fondest memory of Gary was from the first Legends Semi-Pro Series race I won back in January of 2008. Gary took the pictures of my victory and joined us after the race for my 21st birthday celebration. He laughed and celebrated along with us, as he always did. Gary constantly cared after the SPG Motorsports team with a thoughtless compassion incomparable to any other person at the track.

Gary, my friend, we will miss you dearly. All the blessings in the world to those whom you love.

Lindsey

The memorial service will be Friday, June 18 from 7-9 p.m. at Texas Motor Speedway.

Katy Trail 5k 05.19.2009
Last Thursday my friend, Leah, and I ran in the Katy Trail 5k. The Katy Trail is a privately maintained public park in uptown Dallas. The marathon was the annual event used to raise money for the Friends of the Katy Trail, the nonprofit organization that is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the Katy Trail. Leah and I, along with about 5,000 others ran to support the Katy Trail and have fun in our community! I was thrilled to be participating in the event and loved getting to see how my community came together to support our gorgeous public park. The 5K, memberships of the Katy Trail, and the local support of our restaurants and businesses have helped raise more than $20 million, naming the Katy Trail one of the great American public parks. Thank you to those who sponsored the event and to everyone who ran/walked in the race. Looking forward to seeing you all next year! ... full entry
