Mont Tremblant, Canada: (July 30, 2007)
With the switch made to Skip Barber from Formula BMW USA, Texan driver, Lindsey Adams, is ready to move forward with her new series at a new race track.
“I’m ready to get on with things. It was hard to decide where to go after we made the decision to leave [Formula BMW USA]. This should be a good start for me. I’m excited to see what happens.”
After leaving BMW, due to lack in funding, Skip Barber is a perfect place to get seat time. Drivers like A.J. Allmendinger, Marco Andretti, and Scott Speed, began their open wheel racing careers in Skip Barber and have gone on to excel in Champ Car, Indy Car, and Formula 1.
“I think Lindsey will make the transition smoothly. She has always been very adaptable. What is most important to Lindsey is that she is getting to race. As long as she get’s quality seat time and competition she will grow as a driver. I keep telling her to remember our word…. ‘bounce’. She needs to bounce back and focus of what’s important.”
After Mont Tremblant, Lindsey will run in her first Skip Barber National race at Road America. She will also continue on with her Survivors’ Circle program honoring local Wisconsinite, Cheryl Krajci, at this race. Stay tuned!
