Adams speaks to girl scouts of america

Frisco, Texas [February 7, 2009]: Saturday morning, Lindsey Adams, a driver for Trinity Marketing and Development, will be speaking to 300 Girl Scouts of America at the Frito-Lay headquarters on dreaming big dreams. Lindsey, a Brownie herself in her younger years, believes in the Girl Scouts of America organization and the power it has to make a positive impact in the lives of young ladies.

“Growing up I constantly had people around me telling me to dream big, and that if I pushed myself, I could do anything I set my mind to. I believe with all my heart that because I heard those words for so many years, I had the courage and perseverance to stick with my dream and never give up,” Lindsey commented.

In the United States, studies have shown that 35% of females in the work place believe they are paid less than men in their same work place. Though women are moving up, men still dominate the earnings race. Though the stats are rising Lindsey has chosen to put numbers aside and focus on the big picture.

“Women are making a difference. Period. Yes, the numbers represent truth, but we see women, daily, not letting themselves become affected by gender barriers. I encourage all young females to dream big and follow those dreams. It’s not so much about ‘girl power’ any more, even though I do believe in the significance of that. But in our day and age I feel, it’s more about will power. The question is: how hard is one willing to push themselves to follow that dream in order to make it come true? I am hoping to make a difference with the girl scouts, starting Saturday. Every young child needs to hear that they can do anything they set their mind to,” Adams stated.

Adams will be speaking and signing autographs at the Frisco based, Frito-Lay Headquarters, this coming Saturday, February 7, 2009; from 9 am to 1pm. For more information or for any media inquiries please contact Don Nugent with Trinity Marketing and Development at tmnd@lindseyadamsracing.com.

Katy Trail 5k 05.19.2009
Last Thursday my friend, Leah, and I ran in the Katy Trail 5k. The Katy Trail is a privately maintained public park in uptown Dallas. The marathon was the annual event used to raise money for the Friends of the Katy Trail, the nonprofit organization that is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the Katy Trail. Leah and I, along with about 5,000 others ran to support the Katy Trail and have fun in our community! I was thrilled to be participating in the event and loved getting to see how my community came together to support our gorgeous public park. The 5K, memberships of the Katy Trail, and the local support of our restaurants and businesses have helped raise more than $20 million, naming the Katy Trail one of the great American public parks. Thank you to those who sponsored the event and to everyone who ran/walked in the race. Looking forward to seeing you all next year! ... full entry
