LORIE LORD... A TRUE SURVIVOR 04.24.2008
Last October I got the opportunity to drive a Radical SR-4 for Stars and Stripes Motorsports. The race was in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and my mom had gotten wind that a survivor up there, named Lorie Lord, had been fighting against breast cancer, working hard to raise awareness, and in the process had become a real influence in her local area. Little did we know, Lorie, was the niece of one of my mother’s best, longtime friends. We gave her a call and she was out at the track a week later riding in the race car with me and having a blast.
